The Special State Prosecutor's Office previously opened an investigation, during which they will check the recordings published by the M portal, which allegedly point to the involvement of Minister without Portfolio Zoran Miljanić and MP Srđan Pavićević in corrupt practices that prevented or slowed down the alleged investigation of the Sector for Financial intelligence affairs of the UP - against sports betting "Lob".
The Special State Prosecutor's Office clarified in its response to "Vijesta" that, due to the material published on certain portals, it will carry out the necessary checks and determine "decisive facts about the existence of grounds for suspicion that a criminal offense has been committed under its jurisdiction". The SDT did not open a new investigation, but "checks will be carried out within the framework of an already formed criminal case, which has not been completed and is in the investigation process". "The published material refers to the event of December 18 last year, and was obtained by an officer of the Special Police Department, on the order of the then head of the DR," reads the response of prosecutor and SDT spokesman Vukas Radonjić sent to "Vijesti"
Miljanić told TV Vijesti that he rejects all allegations of M portal about involvement in any corrupt activities, that he has documentation to answer all accusations and that he will sue that portal.
He said that Lob is renting out business premises to the bookmaker, and that this was current even before he became a minister, and that he received a television instead of the monthly rent for that premises.
Prime Minister Dritan Abazović called on the competent authorities to investigate the allegations of the M portal.
"Anything that exists as something that could be disputed, I am the one to investigate. I call on the state authorities to do it as well. I had a communication with the state authorities this morning, but this also applies to what was published and to those who I know why there is a need to create a story, I understand that some people are not sure that they will be in a situation to do what they have been doing until now and that they are no longer sure that Montenegro will be their private company where they will arrange relations often contrary to the law. Personally, I have no problem with everything being investigated," said Abazović.
"Vijesti" sent official questions to SDT and the Police Directorate about whether a case was opened after the publication of the M portal.
Unknown source, date and time of recordings
In the photo published by M portal, Miljanić and Pavićević can be seen at a meeting with one of the owners of the "Lob" betting shop.
That portal did not state the source of the recordings it published, and all conversations are conducted by Miško Lilić, one of the owners of "Lobo". The date and time of none of the recordings is known, so it cannot be stated with certainty that they were shown chronologically according to their creation.
In the first conversation, Miljanić and Lilić agree on a meeting, and in the second, Lilić talks to a certain Maki, who says that they received a letter from the Sector for Financial Intelligence of the Police Administration to deliver the exact date and time and the amounts of the funds paid to the persons to whom the funds were paid, their numbers identification documents with dates of birth and copies of the winning tickets that accompanied the said payments and that it was signed by Saša Mašković, Acting Assistant Director of the Police Administration.
A conversation follows in which Lilić says that he is sitting with Miljanić and Pavićević, while in the following conversation Lilić tells "Godfather Rajko" that they should buy two 55-inch televisions and install them at Miljanić and Pavićević's place and asks him for four leather notebooks.
Later, in a conversation with the second godfather, Lilić says that he was "with this other person" that he called "this very second" and that everything will be fine because the two of them will see each other before work.
Lilić then talks to the godfather Rajko again to check whether the televisions have been installed and says that his company will pay for the televisions.
The last conversation is between Mašković and Lilic, who says that he has heard from Miljanić and proposes a meeting.
"Just to explain something to you, to clarify some things and to help you with whatever you need and to point out the problems that we have regarding the issue at hand," explains Lilić, to which Mašković replies that he will clarify everything.
