One person was slightly injured in the incident at the Porto Montenegro marina

One person suffered minor injuries and burns in the incident that happened shortly after 14:XNUMX p.m. in the Porto Montenegro marina in Tivat.

For reasons not yet determined, there was a minor explosion and then a fire in the engine compartment of the yacht "Liberty", which at that moment was moored at jetty 3 near the border crossing in Porto Montenegro.

At that time, two people were on board, one of whom was injured, so doctors from the Tivat Emergency Service intervened.

As we have learned, the injured sailor was discharged for home treatment after receiving medical assistance.

The fire on the ship was quickly extinguished by the intervention of members of the Marine Service of Porto Montenegro and the Protection and Rescue Service of Tivat, which came to the scene with six firefighters and three fire engines.

The Tivat police was also informed about the incident in which there were no environmental consequences with the spilling of oil from the wrecked yacht into the sea.
