Minister without portfolio Zoran Miljanic will ask the security services to immediately carry out his security assessment because he believes that behind the recordings published on Mportal, which he claims were staged - "there are very dangerous criminal structures".
He said in a statement to "Vijesti" that "those criminal structures edit the footage and publish it" because he is their target, "after a series of investigations against cigarette smuggling, cocaine smuggling, as well as intelligence on the illegal exploitation of gravel and sand"...
"They target those who bother them", said Miljanić and repeated that he rejects all allegations of Mportal's involvement in any corrupt activities, and that he has documentation for all "accusations as an answer and will sue that portal".
He clarified that since 2020, the bookmaker "Lob" has been renting out office space in Podgorica, that he duly reported the rent of 800 euros per month to ASK, and that he took the television, which is mentioned in the videos, instead of rent.
"The owner Mishko Lilic I have known for over 20 years. We have had coffee a hundred times, I know him as an exemplary businessman and humanist. On those recordings, there is that photo from the bar, in which I, Dr. Srđa Pavićević, Ilić and Filip Dedic. All parts were edited with the aim of discrediting myself because I was appointed to take care of the implementation of the Government's policy in the field of anti-corruption", said Miljanić.
The Special State Prosecutor's Office in its response to "Vijesta" confirmed that, in connection with the published material, "it will carry out the necessary checks and establish decisive facts about the existence of grounds for suspicion that a criminal offense has been committed within its jurisdiction."
They clarified that they will carry out the checks within the framework of the already formed criminal case - investigation, which has not been completed.
"The published material refers to the event of December 18 last year, and was obtained by an officer of the Special Police Department, on the order of the then head of the DR," reads the response of the prosecutor and SDT spokesperson. Vukas Radonjić.
At the end of last year, the SDT opened the case after the special prosecutor Sanja Jovićević issued an order, but also on the basis of a court order, to examine the work and compliance with legal regulations of the owners of companies that organize games of chance, including the "Lob Kladionica" chain.
At that time, an order was also given for the Department for Financial Intelligence of the Police Administration to check the amounts of payments to clients, who had winnings over 2.000 euros, as well as whether the organizers of games of chance, from the SDT list, kept proper records of how to whom the money was paid.
Due to the extensive nature of the case, prosecutor Jovićević and the special prosecutor are leading the investigation Zoran Vučinić.
Mportal, which is edited by the former media advisor of the Democratic Party of Socialists, Danica Nikolić, accused Miljanić and Pavićević of corrupt actions that prevented or slowed down the investigation of the Department of Financial and Intelligence Affairs of the UP - against the sports betting company "Lob", stating that this happened in December last year when Miljanić was the state secretary of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
No date, no chronology...
Mportal did not state the source of the recordings it published, and all recorded conversations are conducted by Miško Lilić with other persons. The date and time of none of the recordings is known, so the chronology cannot be determined with certainty, that is, whether they were taken in the order in which they are "arranged" on the recording.
In the first conversation, Miljanić and Lilić agree on a meeting, and in the second, Lilić talks to a certain Maki, who says that they received a letter from the Department for Financial Intelligence of the Police Administration to submit the dates and amounts of winning ticket payouts, winners' document numbers and copies of winning tickets, and that it was signed by Saša Mašković, then Acting Assistant Director of the Police Administration.
A conversation follows in which Lilić says that he is sitting with Miljanić and Pavićević, while in the following conversation Lilić
"Godfather Rajko" says that they should buy two 55-inch televisions and install them at Miljanić and Pavićević's and asks him for four leather notebooks.
Later, in a conversation with the second godfather, Lilić says that he was "with this other" that he called "this very second" and that everything will be fine because the two of them will see each other before work.
Lilić then talks to the godfather Rajko again to check whether the televisions have been installed and says that his company will pay for the televisions.
The last conversation is between Mašković and Lilic, who says that he has heard from Miljanić and proposes a meeting.
"Just let us clarify some things for you and help you with anything you need and point out the problems we have regarding the issue at hand", explains Lilić, to which Mašković replies that he will clarify everything.
Pavićević: A vile plot
Member of CIVIS Srdja Pavićević he told "Vijesta" that he sincerely hopes that SDT will have a clear and unambiguous comment that will explain everything very soon, after the professionally conducted reconnaissance procedure.
"Miljanić received full authorization and orders from CIVIS to process this both funny and sad episode of our everyday life in the manner provided by law. I hope that the authors of this very tendentious and vile plot, generated with great concern, and one could even say fear, which could be clearly recognized in their announcements (threats) addressed to Miljanić on the aforementioned portal, will come out of the shadows into the light of day. Then, the clarification of the mentioned conspiracy from the civil-litigation aspect, as well as from the criminal aspect, will offer complete explanations to the entire public", Pavićević said to "Vijesta".
And the prime minister Dritan Abazovic he called on the authorities to investigate Mportal's allegations.
"I know why there is a need to create a story, I understand that some people are not sure that they will be in a situation to do what they have been doing until now and that they are no longer sure that Montenegro will be their private company in which they will arrange relations, often the opposite to the law", said Abazović.
Mašković: I would like to remove the secrecy mark from the case
Saša Mašković, Acting Assistant of the Sector for Financial and Intelligence Affairs of the Police Administration, told "Vijesta" that he "would like to remove the secrecy mark from that case and make the information and actions publicly disclosed."
Mašković clarified that the obligation to keep confidential information obliges him not to comment.
