The Magistrate's Court in Budva sentenced DI (48) from that city to 15 days in prison for driving a motorcycle under the influence of alcohol with a concentration of 2.55 g/kg of alcohol in the body.
"He was banned from driving the A category for four months, as well as three penalty points. In just two days (August 17 and 18), the judges of the Court for Misdemeanors in Budva (seat of the court and departments in Ulcinj, Bar, Kotor and Herceg Novi) in emergency procedures sanctioned as many as 24 drivers who drove vehicles with illegal concentrations of alcohol," announced the President of the Court for Misdemeanors in Budva, Marko Đukanović.
He added that "the most common time frame in which they were found to be driving vehicles was the early hours of the morning."
"After leaving the catering establishments, which is why we appeal to all drivers not to use their own vehicles after the end of the night, but to hire alternative transport," said Đukanović.
