Krstović: My mobile phone was not found

Detainee Budimir Krstović denied that a mobile phone was found in his possession.

Krstović, who has been in the Administration for the Enforcement of Criminal Sanctions (UIKS) since August 31 of last year, reacted to the statements of the president of the Trade Union of the Administration and the Judiciary, Nenad Rakočević.

Rakočević claims that the current assistant director of the UIKS, Goran Maraš, entered the part of the Investigation Prison and Krstović's cell, where he stayed for a certain time, in violation of all regulations, rules and authorities, the day after Krstović was detained. Rakočević also did not know that a search of Krstović's cell found an expensive phone a day later.

"Under full criminal and material responsibility, I declare that from the day of my detention on August 31, 08 until today, no mobile phone was found in my possession, nor during this time did I use any item that is not allowed by the rules or regulations of the UIKS. Namely, as on August 2021, 18, it was announced in the electronic edition of the "News" portal that an expensive phone was found in the cell where I am detained, I hereby appeal to the public and competent authorities to investigate the situation and untrue information that were published. The fact that no disciplinary proceedings were ever initiated against me speaks volumes about the veracity of this information," Krstović said in a statement delivered to "Vijesta".
