We expect that the competent state authorities will deal with all the mentioned allegations and give them a worthy and fair assessment.
This is how the Metropolis of Montenegro and the Littoral (MCP) answered the questions of "Vijesti" - whether they are in any way connected with the ordering of weapons ahead of the parliamentary elections in 2020, through the Skaljar criminal clan.
"Vijesti" also asked the MCP if the allegations about the preparation of armed resistance under their auspices were true.
The M portal announced that the Cetinje Risto Mijanović, via the encrypted Sky ECC application, with Kotoranin Nikola Dedović negotiated the purchase of "Kalashnikovs" for the church.
Dedović is the brother of the now deceased Igor Dedović, the former head of the Škaljar clan, of which Mijanović is also a member.
Allegedly, Mijanović wrote to Dedović that the church was looking for the purchase of "Kalashnikovs" in order to organize armed resistance and that he informed him about it. Mitar Knezevic, whose brother is a priest.
"The Metropolitanate of Montenegro and the Littoral in its overall activity relies on the Lord Christ and the evangelical principles on the basis of which it carries out its mission. The best example of this in recent times is precisely the magnificent and peaceful processions of 2020. We expect that all the aforementioned allegations will be dealt with by the authorities state authorities and give them a worthy and fair evaluation", answered the MCA.
The Higher State Prosecutor's Office in Podgorica announced the night before last that they have opened a case and will check the media allegations.
"The Higher State Prosecutor's Office in Podgorica opened a case regarding transcripts published in the media related to the acquisition of weapons and the preparation of armed resistance ahead of the parliamentary elections in 2020. In the further course of the proceedings, all necessary measures and actions will be taken in order to verify media allegations and establish of all the facts, after which a decision will be made in the case," announced the manager of VDT Podgorica, senior prosecutor Beautiful Medenica.
