According to that information, an employee in one sector of the Investigation Prison, who has no contact with the security service, noticed illegal devices in the room where the alleged members of the Kavac criminal clan are.

"That colleague then reported it to the prison police officer who refused to react... The administration of the Investigation Prison was informed about it, which responded promptly and initiated disciplinary proceedings," said the source of "Vijesti".

Officials of the Administration for the Execution of Criminal Sanctions seized several mobile phones and improvised daggers last week during a search of the premises where the detainees are staying.

"During the search, nine mobile phones, two portables, one Internet modem, a certain number of bars and daggers, chargers and USB cables, 3 packages of white and brown powdery substance, a large quantity of tablets and improvised bottles-weights filled with the substance were found in the custody of the detained persons. which is suspected to be table salt", UIKS announced on September 7.

They stated that from August 2 to 6, five mobile phones were found in the Investigation Prison and that operational knowledge and information indicated that certain detainees possessed and used illegal items.

The UIKS stated that "a large number of persons who have been remanded in custody on suspicion of having committed criminal offenses in the field of organized crime, and some of them have been identified as leaders or members of opposing criminal groups" are housed in the Investigation Prison.

"Because of the above, and in order to preserve safety and order in the prison, it was deemed necessary by the authorities from the Administration for the Execution of Criminal Sanctions and the Ministry of Justice to carry out a general search of detained persons, their belongings and premises on September 7, starting at 9:15.30 p.m. in which they stay", it was announced.

The search of UIKS officers was also attended by a certain number of members of the Police Administration - Special Purpose Police Sector.

"During the search, the officers acted extremely professionally and responsibly, in a way that did not jeopardize the basic human rights of detained persons and ensured respect for their human dignity. In the Administration for the Execution of Criminal Sanctions and in the coming period, continuous measures and actions will be taken from the competence of this body in order to preserve order and safety of all persons who are in the Administration for any reason", according to the announcement of UIKS.
