Fifty-seven years old Mladen Lazović yesterday, he was taken to the premises of the Security Center in Podgorica, after he insulted the policemen and refused to show them his identification document.
The Police Directorate unofficially told Vijesta that the members of the Regional Police Center "Centar" have intensified routine controls, which they also did yesterday in the inner city core of Podgorica.
Lazović, who was sitting with a woman in a bar in the city center, refused to show them the documents, and then, as they claim, insulted them in front of numerous witnesses.
"After he started belittling authorized police officers and obstructing them in the performance of their official duties, he was issued several warnings and orders, but he continued to be disrespectful. When the conditions were met, he was taken to the premises of the Podgorica Security Center", said the UP.
According to the same information, Lazović is accused of having committed a misdemeanor under Article 11 of the Law on Public Order and Peace, which prescribes a fine or prison sentence for anyone who obstructs or belittles an official.
"Whoever obstructs or belittles an official of a state body or organization, institution or other legal entity, who, on the basis of the law, exercises public authority in connection with the performance of tasks within their competence, will be punished for the offense with a fine of 500 euros to 1.500 euros or a prison sentence of up to 60 days", is prescribed by the Law.
