The High Court in Bijelo Polje unanimously sentenced 45-year-old Haris Tiganj from Beran to XNUMX days for inflicting minor physical injury on Nikola Lekić.
On April 30, Tiganj took part in a fight together with Bogdan Dabetić, who allegedly tried to kill Lekić and Dragoslav Koska and put the life of Sava Korać in danger.
The higher state prosecutor's office submitted to the court the record of the guilty plea concluded between the state prosecutor Slavenko Smolović and the defendant Tiganj, in order to make a decision regarding the concluded agreement.
According to the indictment, on April 30 of this year, in the town of Trepča in Andrijevica, Tiganj slightly physically injured Nikola Lekić, who was fighting with Dabetić.
He hit Lekić twice in the head area with the handle of the gun, which fell out of Dabetić's hands, and caused him a slight physical injury.
The court, said judge Dragan Mrdak in his explanation, assessed that the agreement was acceptable considering that the defendant "is a younger, unconvicted person of legal age, in poor financial condition, so in the absence of more serious circumstances, he was sentenced to 45 days in prison."
"The court is of the opinion that this punishment will achieve the purpose of punishment and will sufficiently influence the defendant not to commit these and similar crimes in the future and that the goals of special prevention will be achieved for the defendant and also influence other potential perpetrators not to commit similar crimes, as well as general prevention goals. "One month spent in custody was included in the sentence," said judge Mrdak.
When determining the lump-sum amount of 50 euros, the court took into account the weak financial situation and the length of the proceedings, and the other costs relate to the ex-officio defense attorney in the amount of 1.089 euros, as well as the costs of medical experts in the amount of 82,50 euros.
At the same time, Lekić was referred to civil proceedings.
Dabetić is accused of firing several projectiles in the direction of the injured after a fight and argument, one of which hit Lekić in the area of the left foot, and the ricochet hit Korać.
Dabetić's trial is scheduled for October 18.
