Boris Milić acting director of ANB

At today's electronic session, the government appointed Boris Milić, a long-standing high-ranking employee of the institution, as acting director of the National Security Agency (ANB).

Milić has been covering positions within the security institutions of Montenegro for almost thirty years, and until 2022 he was covering the position of Head of the Sector in the ANB for counterintelligence protection.

Until his appointment, he held the position of advisor to the Agency's director. "Vijesti" sources from the Government and security circles describe Milić as pro-Western.

Until yesterday, the first man of the secret service, Savo Kentera, was dismissed at the electronic session of the Government on Friday.

Milić will serve as director until a new director is elected, and for a maximum period of six months.
