The Supreme Court of Montenegro did not accept the proposal of the Special State Prosecutor's Office (SDT) to extend the custody of former members of the Board of Directors of the Podgorica company "Plantaže" Veselin Vukotić, Božo Mihailović and Duško Perović.
According to the decision of the investigating judge, three months ago they were remanded in custody for up to one month.
The spokeswoman of the High Court in Podgorica, Marija Raković, previously stated that according to the Council's decision, their detention was extended for another two months.
After that, the SDT proposed to the Supreme Court to extend their detention, which was not accepted.
Vukotić, Mihailović and Perović are suspected of having caused damage to the Podgorica company "Plantaže" by abusing their official position in business operations.
They were arrested on July 11 in the operation "Plantaže" for malfeasance in the business with the briquette factory - a business in which the state company was allegedly damaged for several millions.
In the same operation, former members of the Board of Directors of "Plantaž" Đorđije Rajković and Sead Šahman, as well as Anica Hajduković, were arrested. The three were previously released to defend themselves.
