Instead of closing arguments, the trial of Goran Pantović for the murder of the owner of the "Krstac" restaurant, Zoran Ašanin, will continue due to a new proposal by state prosecutor Tanja Nišavić, despite the fact that the trial was concluded earlier.
This was announced in the Bjelo Polje High Court.
According to the indictment, on April 25, 2021, in the restaurant "Krstac" in the town of the same name near Mojkovac, Pantović killed Ašanin in an insidious manner.
The plaintiff proposed that the court obtain the verdict of the Basic Court in Herceg Novi from 2018, when Pantović was injured, in order to determine whether the injuries to his teeth, which he claimed to have been inflicted by Ašanin, originated from the event in question or earlier .
Namely, during the trial in the High Court, Pantović claimed that Zoran Ašanin broke two of his teeth - molars - about fifteen days before the murder, which was not recorded in the medical documentation the day after that event.
As an unusual circumstance from the forensic-medical aspect, expert witness Dr. Ivana Čukić stated that the medical reports of several doctors do not mention two broken teeth anywhere, "whose injuries would cause very severe pain and it would be impossible not to establish them by examination".
Judge Dragan Mrdak accepted the prosecutor's proposal and issued an order to obtain the verdict, and he also accepted the proposal of Pantović's defense, lawyer Vidomir Bošković, to also obtain medical documentation from the Administration for the Execution of Criminal Sanctions (UIKS), in which, as he stated, tooth repair recorded after detention.
In the same case, Velimir Ljujić (66) from Mojkovac was tried for helping the perpetrator after the crime was committed. Due to his death, the proceedings against him were suspended.
The trial continues on December 23.
