The head of the Investigation Prison in Spuž, Predrag Spasojević, was dismissed from that position and transferred to another position, while the disciplinary proceedings initiated against him by the Administration for the Execution of Criminal Sanctions continue.
Spasojević confirmed this to Televizije Vijesti, who said that until the end of the proceedings, he will perform all work tasks in accordance with the law at another workplace in the prison, as well as that he expects to prove through the disciplinary proceedings that his actions did not cause damage to that institution.
Spasojević recently said in a guest appearance on a television that he expects the President of Montenegro and DPS leader Milo Đukanović at his place very soon and that he will "prepare his cell according to all standards".
The management of the Administration for the Execution of Criminal Sanctions dissociated itself from all his statements, especially those containing any political segment, which are not compatible with the jobs and tasks of civil servants and UIKS employees.
A bomb was thrown at Spasojević's family house at the beginning of the month, for which two people were arrested.
The UIKS announced that Spasojević was temporarily reassigned to another workplace due to the decision to initiate disciplinary proceedings.
"Officer Spasojević is charged with having unauthorizedly disclosed certain information concerning security to the public, in addition to the fact that he did not ask for, nor did he receive the consent of the head of the authority for certain media appearances.
"Taking into account the event that happened to the Spasojević family, the throwing of an explosive device near his living space, and endangering the lives of family members, and the connection of that event with the work he performed in the Administration, we kindly ask the public to exercise restraint in relation to the subject case", it was announced from UIKS.
They said that UIKS provides and will provide full support to all employees who have been or may be targeted by criminal groups or individuals due to the performance of professional tasks in the Administration.
