Punishment for data or Milo?

Head of the Investigation Prison Predrag Spasojevic he was temporarily removed from that position due to media appearances for which, as claimed by the Administration for the Execution of Criminal Sanctions (UIKS), he did not ask for consent and disclosure of data during guest appearances.

Until the end of the disciplinary procedure, he was assigned to another job - in the Training Sector.

Spasojevic told "Vijesti" yesterday that he believes that the disciplinary procedure is unfounded and that he will prove his innocence.

According to information from UIKS, he will be replaced in that position by his closest collaborators, with whom he started to restore order, until the decision is made as to whether he will return to the head of the Investigation Prison.

"Until the end of the procedure, it is not possible to assign anyone to that position, because if he is released from disciplinary responsibility, he will return to that position. Until then, he will work in the Training Sector, where he worked before," explained UIKS.

The initiation of the disciplinary procedure came 15 days after Spasojević was the target of bombings twice, but also a week after he publicly announced that he would prepare a cell for the president of the country Milo Đukanović.

After that statement, they reacted from Đukanović's Democratic Party of Socialists, demanding the initiation of disciplinary proceedings.

UIKS officially announced yesterday that due to the decision to initiate disciplinary proceedings, Spasojević was temporarily reassigned to another workplace.

"Officer Spasojević is accused of having unauthorizedly disclosed certain information concerning security to the public, in addition to the fact that he did not ask for, nor did he receive the consent of the head of the authority for certain media appearances. Taking into account the event that happened to the Spasojević family, the throwing of an explosive device in the vicinity of his living space, and putting the lives of family members in danger, and the connection of that event with the work he performed in the Administration, we kindly ask the public to exercise restraint in relation to the case in question ", UIKS announced.

In the same text, they also wrote that UIKS provides and will provide full support to all employees who have been or may be targeted by criminal groups or individuals due to the performance of professional tasks in the Administration.

Emphasizing that he considers the disciplinary procedure unfounded, Spasojević said that he will prove that he is not guilty of what he is accused of.

"Regarding everything I did in the past period, from the attack on my house, everything was aimed at protecting my family and I did everything consciously. And as for the transfer to another workplace, I will perform all the duties and tasks that will be put in front of me, professionally, just as I have been doing so far," said Spasojević.

People from Podgorica were arrested because of the bombings Željko Lakušić (34) and Filip Popovic (21). Allegedly, those two members of the Podgorica branch of the Kavac clan received the order to throw the bomb from one of the detainees from the Investigation Prison.
