The former mayor of Cetinje, general secretary of the Democratic Party of Socialists (DPS), Aleksandar Bogdanović, said that the criminal charges for the works in Njegoševa Street in Cetinje are a populist performance by the current local government.
The capital of Cetinje filed a criminal complaint with the Special State Prosecutor's Office (SDT) against former Bogdanović, former chief of staff of the mayor Dražen Blažić and former deputy mayor Ana Nikolić, related to the reconstruction of Njegoševa Street and, as they stated in the announcement, the damage that was caused to the Capital of Cetinje at that time .
"The new populist, pre-New Year's performance of the current local government led by the mayor of Prijestonica, in which they are now filing a criminal complaint for the works in Njegoševa Street, which was already the subject of an investigation by the competent authorities, is just a continuation of the attempt to fabricate affairs, with the aim of flattering their coalition principals Unfortunately for them, all the previous ones ended as they deserved - rejection and oblivion.
"It is precisely the criminal complaint that the current mayor filed against the capital, the invoice for the minority support provided to him by those he previously accused of being responsible for the Belvedere betrayal. Although the person in question received the votes of the citizens from the Belvedere for the defense of Cetinje, and then delivered them Abazović for the position of mayor, and entered into an alliance with those whom the citizens of Cetinje despise," Bogdanović announced, adding:
"As far as the false criminal complaint is concerned - first of all, none of the people targeted by the coalition of interests and its mayor had any contact with the Njegoševa Street project. I believe that the applicants also know this, but they are unsuccessfully trying to cover up the embrace with these and similar actions of the lowest populism current local administrations with those they claim are traitors to Montenegro."
He emphasized that the Capital City of Cetinje, as well as its responsible persons, were not in charge of the implementation of the mentioned project, as well as the tender, but that the state and its bodies dealt with it.
"So the blackmailed mayor will have to lash out at the state, but that won't be a problem for him, because his coalition partners have been doing it persistently for two years.
"The mayor who slept with the Belvedereci and woke up with Abazović must know that false accusations are also subject to criminal liability. That is why I appeal to the judicial institutions to investigate every detail of this project as soon as possible and to the end, and not only the procurement the stone that the unsigned author is talking about," said Bogdanović.
He told Mayor Nikola Đurašković and the leadership of Prijestonica to start "preparing explanations and documentation for the competent authorities, regarding the spending of almost half a million euros on the same street, in a tender that they conducted themselves and where they chose the contractor themselves."
"I understand that Abazović's mayor is raising this populist fog right now, because he was instructed to divert attention from his comfortable armchair to what civil forces are persistently fighting against on the streets these days. While tens of thousands of citizens protested in Podgorica, he and his colleagues they justify their functions by relativizing the guilt of the current rulers and cheap populism.
"It remains to be regretted that those who are collapsing the institutions and the state itself have managed to find someone who will cause discord among the opposition for their own interests. However, those who falsely reported must be aware of the following: if these reports are rejected, they will be rejected be them too," concluded Bogdanović.
