The first bullet that hit mass murderer Vuk Borilović was fired from a police pistol, the Higher State Prosecutor's Office announced.
They assessed that the police officer used a firearm legally and in accordance with the Law on Internal Affairs and inflicted a fatal injury on Borilović.
On August 12, Borilović killed 10 neighbors in Cetinje, including two children, and seriously wounded six other people, after which he was killed.

The Prosecution did not establish who fired four more projectiles at Borilović.
According to the statement signed by the head of the Higher Prosecutor's Office in Podgorica, Lepa Medenica, Borilović was killed by five bullets.
"Of which all injuries were fatal, and which injuries were found during the procedure to have been caused by fired projectiles, namely the first from a firearm - a pistol belonging to an officer of the Police Directorate, and the remaining four projectiles from a firearm - a pistol, belonging to to an unidentified person," the announcement reads.
He also adds that after a comprehensive analysis of all the collected evidence and data, the prosecution believes that there are no grounds for initiating criminal proceedings against Borilović.
"Given that after that he was also deprived of his life, there is no basis for initiating criminal proceedings against the police officer who, on a critical occasion, inflicted the first fatal injury on the person of VB, bearing in mind that the police officer on that occasion used the means of coercion legally and in accordance with the Law on Internal Affairs. In relation to the unknown person who inflicted the remaining four fatal injuries on the person of VB, the prosecution will file a case against the unknown perpetrator, with the aim of identifying him and determining his criminal responsibility," the statement said.
