A doctor was attacked in Hitna in Podgorica, two people were arrested

"Vijesti" was told by the police that the arrested were intoxicated.

The Police Administration has officially announced that they are being charged with a criminal offense - violent behavior.

"This crime is suspected to have been committed by TR (23) and LL (21) at the expense of a doctor employed at the Emergency Medical Service in Podgorica, last night after midnight. Last night, around 15 minutes after midnight, they physically attacked the victim at work place and on that occasion inflicted minor physical injuries on him which were ascertained by the doctor on duty. The suspects were brought to the acting prosecutor for further jurisdiction along with a criminal report," the police announced.

It was previously announced from the ZHMP that KD was attacked while performing his work, that he suffered bodily injuries, and that three people were detained.

"During the mentioned period of time, two young men brought an intoxicated person to the emergency department, and after taking the data and during the preparation to bring the patient to the ambulance, the doctor in the team of HMP Podgorica was attacked," the announcement states.

"In the first wave, he was pushed away, and after an appeal to calm down and a warning that he would call the police, one person attacked him physically and hit the doctor with his head, who suffered a cut in the arcade, after which he began to strangle him. received large bruises on the neck. The employees managed to separate them, and in the meantime, the police responded and three people were taken into custody," the Institute added.

The police seized the video, which, according to the ZHMP, clearly shows what happened. The doctor was examined and treated.

"There is no security in the emergency aid units in Montenegro, but in cooperation with the police, an agreement was made that police officers often visit all individuals," the statement added.

The injured doctor, as well as the Emergency Department employee, gave a statement to the police about the attack.
