On Friday, two hours after midnight, a drone with two telephone USB cables landed in the grounds of the Pre-trial Prison. Prison guards, however, noticed the drone before the phones got into the hands of the detainees.
According to information from Vijesti, police inspectors will try to determine who is the owner of the drone, who operated it on Friday after midnight, but also who was supposed to receive the "order" delivered from the air.
At the same time, UIKS determines whether the person ordering the phone is one of the detained members of organized criminal groups, who were left without means of communication, which are otherwise forbidden to them, during searches in recent months.
The Directorate for the Execution of Criminal Sanctions (UIKS) officially announced that they seized the drone, which was previously spotted above the prison complex.
"This indicates that an attempt to introduce the same to persons deprived of their liberty in the Administration for the Execution of Criminal Sanctions was prevented," the announcement states.
They pointed out that they informed the Police Administration about the event, which in cooperation with the Administration for the Execution of Criminal Sanctions, is taking intensive measures and actions in order to determine all the circumstances.
However, the Basic State Prosecutor's Office in Podgorica was not officially informed about that investigation yesterday, Vijesti was told unofficially.
