The Prosecutor's Council will formally and legally accept all three candidacies for the supreme state prosecutor, which means that the three candidates Maja Jovanović, Suzana Mugoša and Milorad Miško Marković will enter the official race for the most important position in the prosecutor's organization.
During the voting on the question of TS deputy president Nikola Samardžić who is in favor of rejecting the applications, it was 5:5, which means that the rejection proposal was not adopted.
Prominent lawyers Filip Jovović, Miloš Vuksanović, Borivoje Đukanović, Stevo Muk and the representative of the Ministry of Justice Bojan Božović voted against rejecting the applications, while prosecutors Tatjana Begović, Sanja Jovićević, Đurđina Nina Ivanović and Samardžić, as well as respected lawyer Siniša Gazivoda voted for rejection.
At the session on January 25, TS members were informed of the fact that candidates Suzana Mugoša and Milorad Marković did not submit a certificate of citizenship.
Because of this, a mere formal matter turned into an hour-long discussion behind closed doors, when it was decided that "the final decision will be made today."
TS member Filip Jovović presented the legal position at the beginning, that all applications should be accepted, because in the candidate's documentation it can be indirectly determined that there is an identity card of the candidate.
