They will be tried for smuggling marijuana

to the people of Nikšić MN (27) and MV will be tried for smuggling around 290 kilograms of marijuana, the Higher Court in Podgorica decided.

The panel of that court confirmed the indictment of the Higher State Prosecutor's Office in Podgorica, signed by the state prosecutor. Tanja Božović.

That prosecutor's document presented that the defendant MV, from the end of December 2021 to January 4 of the following year, in the area of ​​the municipality of Nikšić, kept 290.694,94 kilograms of marijuana without authorization for sale.

According to the indictment, at the end of December 2021, the defendant MV hid around 295 PVC packages of marijuana in a specially made compartment in the ceiling of the refrigerator, connected to the freighter.

The 4-year-old is accused of trying to smuggle drugs across the border with Bosnia and Herzegovina in a refrigerator on January 2022, XNUMX.

He was arrested that day, in the morning hours, at the exit from the customs area at the Vraćenovići border crossing, behind the wheel of a refrigerated truck.

"The drug, which contains tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) in a concentration above 0,2%, was found during the search of the vehicle, and then it was taken from it," the indictment reads.

They are accused of having, as co-perpetrators, committed the criminal offense of unauthorized production, possession and distribution of narcotic drugs from Article 300 paragraph 1 of the Criminal Code of Montenegro in connection with Article 23 paragraph 2 of the Criminal Code of Montenegro.

After the arrest, MN from the Police Administration and the Revenue and Customs Administration wrote in a joint statement that the drugs were found during a detailed inspection - in the roof of the cold store, in a specially made bunker.
