Pešukić: The prosecutor looks at me frighteningly

Special prosecutor Nataša Bosković, she is biased, at the previous hearing she showed animosity towards me, and at the same time she was whispering to the legal representative of the injured party Gabriele Djukanovic, a lawyer Zoran Pažin and showed an intimate relationship with him. For this reason, I am asking for her exemption, she said yesterday in the courtroom of the High Court Ana Pesukic, who is responsible for stealing gold from a banker's house Aca Đukanović.

Pešukić said that in front of the judge Nenad Vujanović, who at the previous hearing took over the proceedings in that case from a colleague Goran Šćepanović.

She is accused of stealing a large amount of gold, jewelry, gold coins, gold wristwatches from the house of one of the owners of Prva Banka - worth 331.500,27 euros.

Pešukić asserted that there was serious obstruction from the beginning of the process, and then she accused prosecutor Bošković of continuing the illegal actions of her predecessor, the retired special prosecutor. Stojanke Radović:

"Against whom, because of this procedure, I filed a criminal report and lawsuit".

She also asserted that the special prosecutor is neglecting her obligation to properly assess all the facts that are in her favor.

"I suspect bias also because of her close relationship with lawyer Pažin, which is reflected in the fact that she communicated with him at the previous hearing, in what I believe was an inappropriate way. Also, I would like to point out that she gave me looks from which it can be concluded that she has animosity towards me, which caused me legal uncertainty. These are, among other reasons, why I am asking for her exemption", said Pešukić.

Judge Vujanović asked Pešukić why she did not announce this at the previous hearing, stressing that it is his duty, as a judge, to watch the actions of everyone in the courtroom and that he would react if he noticed something.

The accused answered him that she wanted to consult with her defense counsel, lawyer Ranko Radonjić, who, as she claims, was absent at that hearing for justified reasons.

"I am a legally ignorant party and I didn't know if these were sufficient reasons for exemption, that's why I remained silent when it happened and waited for consultations," she replied.

Prosecutor Bošković answered in the courtroom that she has no animosity towards the accused Pešukić, that her request is illegal and unfounded.

"I was chosen at a legal competition in 2015 as a special prosecutor, and not brought in, as the accused said. I am not anyone's staff, nor do I continue anyone's practice. I received this case when my colleague Radović retired, as well as many others in which she brought charges. "I emphasize that the accused filed a complaint against my actions with the Prosecutor's Council, which was dismissed as unfounded," Bošković said.

Attorney Pažin said that the allegations of the accused Pešukić are absolutely incorrect, legally unfounded and represent an abuse of procedural law.

Pešukić, commenting on the accusations of obstructing the proceedings, told the judge that neither the prosecutor nor Pažin came to a hearing on April 20 or 21 last year "because Vesna Medenica's interest was more important to them."

Judge Vujanović told all participants in the proceedings that he would not allow any obstructions and asked them to be constructive.

At the beginning of the hearing, he stated that the injured party, Gabrijela Đukanović, did not come, and then that during the proceedings, he will assess whether it is necessary to hear all proposed witnesses, because, as he said, some of them do not have any knowledge about the subject of the accusation.

Back in March 2020, the woman from Nikšić admitted to the then basic state prosecutor Vukas Radonjić that she had stolen valuable jewelry, but the case was taken over by the Special State Prosecutor's Office.

In October of that year, then special prosecutor Stojanka Radović filed an indictment against her, claiming that she was with goldsmiths Philip i Čed Ralević formed a crime organization.

According to the indictment, Filip Ralević encouraged Ana Pešukić to take advantage of the trust of the Đukanović family and steal a large amount of gold, jewelry, gold coins, and gold wristwatches from the closet of their apartment.
