The Democratic Party of Socialists called on the competent prosecutor's office and the Ministry of Internal Affairs to investigate all the circumstances related to last night's fight in Budva, in which two young men were beaten. They said that this case "disturbed the Budva and Montenegrin public".
"Vijesti" announced earlier today that, according to police sources, Mladen Kažanegra attacked Stefan Peković (20) and Bož Brnović (21), who were in the company of their mothers. Kažanegra is listed in the police records as a security person of interest, and his friends allegedly helped him in the confrontation. Peković and Brnović, however, told the doctors that they got their injuries because they were drunk and fell.

The DPS said that the state and competent authorities are obliged to show citizens whether they are capable of providing them with protection or whether crime has become the main distributor of justice in the capital of tourism.
"We expect an urgent investigation, and if the criminal investigation confirms that persons of security interest attacked the young men because they were singing Montenegrin songs and raising two fingers, we will demand that the perpetrators be severely punished. We are also sure that all conscientious political parties, regardless on their ideological orientation, condemn vandalism and violence, and call on the authorities to consistently apply the rule of law," the announcement states.
