UP on the mistreatment of an Albanian citizen: The determination of responsibility and the procedure before the internal control are in progress

The Police Directorate (UP) announced regarding the video recording that officers of the Border Police of Montenegro brutally mistreated an Albanian citizen at the border crossing Sukobin - Murićani that the procedure to establish the responsibility of the officers of the Police Directorate is underway, as well as the procedure before the Department for Internal Control police - Ministry of Internal Affairs (MUP).

"On the occasion of the video that appeared on social networks today, which was transmitted by certain media, for the sake of objective information, we inform the public that it is an event from January 15 that took place at the Joint Border Crossing Sukobin - Murićani. This event was the subject of public addresses of the Police Administration, and now an old recording of the same event, which was filmed from a different angle, has been published. Official measures and actions were taken in relation to the event in question, which resulted in establishing the identity of all the actors of the said event, and the process of determining the responsibility of the Police Administration officers is ongoing, as well as the procedure before the Department for Internal Control of the Police - Ministry of Interior", the press release of the UP points out.

They added that the Police Directorate, in relation to all recordings that appear on social networks and in the media, undertakes measures and actions within its jurisdiction in order to establish all relevant facts, which may ultimately result in the implementation of other activities provided for by law.
