The trial of the organized criminal group of Veljko Belivuk and Marko Miljković continued in the Special Court in Belgrade, whose members are charged with seven murders, carrying and possessing weapons, drug trafficking, kidnapping and rape.
The accused associate Bojan Hrvatin, who agreed to share his knowledge of the crimes in exchange for a prison sentence, continued with his presentation. The court panel rejected the defense's proposals for the abolition of custody for several accused.
In the continuation of the trial, Hrvatin claimed that Goran Veličković was killed by Miljković, as well as that he received 10.000 euros for that liquidation, as did the other members who participated in that kidnapping and murder, reports RTS.
In addition, Hrvatin described in detail the kidnapping and murder of Nikola Mitić, who, as he explained, was found by members of that group to be following Belivuk and Miljković. According to Hrvatin, Miljković stopped Mitić and hit him, while other members kidnapped him and took him to a house in Ritopek.
Hrvatin also said that Belivuk and Miljković went to Montenegro, where they killed Damir Hodžić and Adis Spahić, and kidnapped Milo Radulović, known as Captain, from whose phone they lured Lazar Vukićević.
He also stated that the accused Marko Budimir did not want to kill his godfather Zdravko Radojević, which is why Belivuk did it.
Regarding the murder of Aleksandar Gligorijević, Hrvatin said that members of the group killed him because they suspected that he was planning the liquidation of Belivuk.
Hrvatin also claims that Miloš and Marko Budimir were "in charge" of the marijuana trade, while Belivuk and Miljković dealt in the cocaine trade.
The court panel rejected the defense's proposals for the abolition of custody for several accused. The proposals of lawyers Aleksa Dunjić, Milovan Tadić, Aleksa Stošić, Aleksandar Vučeljić, and Nemanja Lakićević were rejected.
The attorney of the victim's wife, Goran Veličković, told the judge to distract Belivuk, because he was sending her "unpleasant and disturbing messages", after which the judge ordered a break.
The leader of the organized criminal group, Veljko Belivuk, however, came to the podium claiming that he did not threaten the attorney of the injured woman, Goran Veličković, and that it was "cheap publicity", reports RTS.
After that, Veličković's attorney proposed to the judge to review the video recordings from the surveillance cameras in the courtroom and determine what Belivuk was showing her.
