Attorney Miladin Joksimović from Bijelo Polje will represent before the court Branko Milić, one of the defendants in the "coup d'etat" case.
The former prosecutor and judge confirmed that information to Vijesti, saying that he will be ready for the next hearing, despite the fact that the files are voluminous.
In the Podgorica High Court, the beginning of the repeated court process in that case was recently postponed, after Milić canceled the power of attorney of her previous defense attorney, because they did not reach an agreement on the presentation of the defense.
At that time, she announced, among other things, that she intends to speak in the courtroom about the role of the President of Serbia Aleksandar Vučić in the "coup d'état", but that her previous defense attorney did not agree with that Jugoslav Krpović.
She then explained to the journalists what she specifically meant when she mentioned Vučić in the courtroom: "I am being pressured not to present before this court panel in the repeated proceedings all the evidence that I consider to be fundamentally important, and it is about the role of the regime from Serbia, specifically Mr. Aleksandar Vučić and his statements about the alleged equipment that was found with (cooperating witness) Saša Sinđelić, which he showed five days earlier, before that equipment was confiscated from Sinđelić, according to the indictment, by officials in the Republic of Serbia. I consider this to be a fundamentally important piece of evidence, very important for me, especially considering the event of February 15, 2, in Belgrade, where an identical scenario took place as the one from October 2023, when I was falsely reported, since is being tried in a staged court process even today", said the defendant.
Joksimović started his working career as an intern at the then District Court in Bijelo Polje, and then became a criminal judge in the Basic Court. He was elected Deputy High State Prosecutor in Bijelo Polje in 1994.
He was one of the four candidates for chief special prosecutor, when he was elected in March 2022 Vladimir Novović.
