The employees of the court in Pljevlja, the prosecutor's office, with the support of lawyers and experts, asked the authorities in the state to provide conditions for safe work in the building of the Basic Court in Pljevlja and all courts in Montenegro.
Today, they gathered for a short time in the building of the Basic Court in Pljevlje, in order to support their colleagues in the Basic Court in Podgorica, and pointed out the need for an urgent and effective solution to the security situation in Montenegrin courts.
"The unfortunate event that happened on Thursday in the Basic Court in Podgorica is a warning sign that it can happen in any other city in our country and that therefore the competent authorities should take certain measures in order to improve the safety conditions for work in the Montenegrin courts," said the president of the Basic Court in Pljevlja, Marina Jelovac.
She pointed out that the conditions in the court building in Pljevlja are not adequate and that it cannot be adapted without large financial investments in order for the security system to be good, but that "we have to start working on that problem".
