The Montenegrin police established that he is from Loznica Miroslav Djuric, residing in Danilovgrad, on March 6 this year, left Montenegro at the Dobrakovo border crossing, and then headed to Gostun in a tank truck, where the Serbian police discovered about half a ton of narcotics.
The Police Directorate and the National Security Agency are trying to establish where, when and how Đurić loaded the drugs, and where the packages discovered at the Serbian-Montenegrin border should have ended up.
According to "Vijesti" data, Đurić was arrested yesterday morning at the Gostun border crossing, when he came from Montenegro, after the Serbian policemen in the lane for a detailed inspection of the truck determined that a suspicious contingent was hiding in the tanker's bunker.
Yesterday, the Serbian Customs Administration confirmed that they had stopped a tank truck with suspicious cargo, after the official dog smelled that it contained illegal contents.
The Ministry of Internal Affairs of Serbia announced late last night that members of the local police in Prijepolje seized more than 541 kilograms of marijuana and arrested M.Đ. (36), who was driving the truck in which the drugs were found.
The seizure, they claim, was carried out in cooperation with the Serbian Criminal Police Directorate, the Border Police Directorate and the Customs Directorate, by order of the Higher Public Prosecutor's Office in Užice.
The Ministry of Internal Affairs of Serbia stated in a statement that the police at the Gostun border crossing, at the entrance from Montenegro to Serbia, during the control of a tanker truck with Montenegrin license plates, which was driven by the suspect, found 500 packages of marijuana in a specially made bunker.
"The suspect was ordered to be detained for up to 48 hours, after which he will be brought to the competent prosecutor's office with a criminal complaint," the announcement states.
On the occasion of this large seizure, the Serbian Minister of the Interior, Bratislav Gašić, praised the members of the MUP of Serbia for an "excellent action".
The truck with license plates (DG-AT053) of the company "Royal šped" whose headquarters is in Bandići, by order of the Serbian police, after the discovery of suspicious cargo, was turned off in a special lane for detailed checks, and then during the day it was taken to the scanner so that the local police during measurements accurately determined which drug it was and how many packages were in the container.
The first suspicion of the Serbian police and security services, according to information from Vijesta, is that cocaine is hidden in the tank bunker.
This information was published by several Montenegrin media referring to unofficial sources from the police, but some of them then removed the information without explanation.
The authorities in Serbia made the announcement hours after some Serbian media first reported that marijuana was allegedly seized, but also that the driver had fled.
According to unofficial information from "Vijesti", a truck from the company "Royal Šped" entered Montenegro on March 4 this year, when Đurić delivered gas for the company "Petrol".
Data from the Police Administration and the National Security Agency show that after delivering the gas, the truck did not leave Montenegro through the official border crossings for the next two days, until March 6.
"Vijesti" asked the Police Administration if and when the tanker of the company "Royal Šped" crossed the Dobrakovo border crossing, and whether border police officers controlled the truck driver and how it was done.
UP did not respond to questions yesterday.
Company in Bandići
The company "Royal šped" to which the truck in which the drugs were found is being taken, according to the data of the register of the Commercial Court, was founded on June 2, 2021, for the road transport of cargo.
The company was founded with a total capital of one euro, and the owner and founder is the arrested Serbian citizen Miroslav Đurić, who lives in Danilovgrad.
During 2021, judging by the financial statement submitted to the Revenue and Customs Administration, the company "Royal Šped" had a small turnover - only 8.000 euros.
Truck control
The Police Directorate unofficially informed "Vijesti" that it is not uncommon for a tank truck driver to spend more than two days between two borders, because when entering the country, there is a special procedure and check of drivers and goods transported in freighters.
At the border crossing Gostun, which was remodeled last year, on the way into Serbia, special lanes were created for a detailed inspection of the cargo of trucks, tankers, tow trucks...
