The witness Vladan Knežević said that he saw Emir Pilav show the middle finger towards him, Goran Knežević and Darko Knežević, adding that he told them "dead bodies", and then cursed: "I...have a Chetnik mother".
He said this yesterday in the Bijelo Polje High Court, before which his distant relative Goran Knežević is responsible for the criminal offense of inciting national, racial and religious hatred, for which he was previously acquitted.
According to the indictment, the day after the 2020 parliamentary elections, Goran Knežević publicly incited violence and hatred towards members of the Muslim nationality.
In that act, it is stated that Knežević committed the criminal offense on August 31, 2020 in Pljevlje: "In the way that the injured Emir and Nuria Pilav, on the terrace of the 'City Cafe' restaurant, in Kralja Petra Street, where they were sitting with other addressed several people with the words: 'You will move, you will no longer be here'".
Witness Knežević said that on that day they were in the column celebrating the victory, when Darko Knežević turned to Emir Pilav and said: "Where are you, Pilav", after which he, he claims, showed them his middle finger and winked at them.
"I approached and pushed him off the chair, from where he fell. His father Nurija Pilav tried to throw a bottle at me, and then a chair, but they stopped him. When getting back into the car, Emir Pilav cursed our Chetnik mother," he said. is Knežević.
Witness Goran Šljivančanin said that he saw Goran Knežević, who is an "extremely large man", pushing and pulling two guys towards his vehicle, after which they entered the vehicle and continued on. He claims that he did not see that the accused had contact with anyone.
Stefan Lacmanović said that he saw that there was a crowd on the terrace of the bar, in which he recognized only Darko Knežević.
"Then, at one point, I saw Darko's father, Goran, get out of the 'golf', who managed to drag two guys, one of whom was Darko, to the vehicle out of some 'muddle' that had arisen there."
Ivona Jelovac, employed at the "Premijer" bookmaker, said that she was about two meters away and saw and heard when an elderly person, who was in the company of Emir Pilav, cursed his mother with faces in the convoy of vehicles.
"The red vehicle stopped and a person from the passenger seat said: 'What do you say, come on again' and that person cursed again in the same way, and two people got out of the vehicle, turning off the car. They headed towards Emir's table, the chairs fell , there was a crowd and a ruckus. Not long after that, a person with a larger build got out of the red vehicle, jumped over the fence and put these two people back in the vehicle," she said, adding that she did not hear that Emir directed ugly words in their direction.
She pointed out that she is sure that Emir did not swear, but the person who was with them in the company.
Prosecutor Tanja Nišavić, as well as the injured party, objected to the testimony of the witness.
The aggrieved Emir Pilav claims that he was attacked on a national basis.
