Croatian on the murder in Athens: Brašnjević killed Dedović, Stamatović was killed by an accomplice

The accused associate Bojan Hrvatin continued to testify in the trial of Veljko Belivuk, Marko Miljković and the rest of their criminal group.

He is Croatian. transmits N1, described in detail the activities while he was part of the clan, and he devoted a part of the presentation to events that were not included in the indictment.

He told how Marko Miljković tried to hire him for liquidation work in Corfu in 2020, that he had to refuse it, because his hand was injured, and that, a few days after the murder of one of the heads of the Skaljar clan, Alan Kožar and his associate, learned from Miljković and his associate Miloš Budimir that he was supposed to participate in that liquidation.

The Hrvatin also described in detail the transactions involving the handover of hundreds of thousands of euros, weapons and motor vehicles in which he participated.

In one part of the presentation, he also talked about how he learned the details of the murder of Stevan Stamatović and Igor Dedović in Athens from one of the associates of the Milinko Brašnjević clan. Brašnjević told him that he personally killed Dedović with a shot to the head, while Stamatović was killed by his accomplice.

According to N1, Hrvatin testified that he was in charge of monitoring and supervising Mladen Lazarevic, who was killed in the New Belgrade neighborhood of West 65. He was tasked with moving into one of the apartments near Lazarevic and monitoring his routine, in order to the liquidation took place without difficulty.

After the presentation, Hrvatin was questioned by the defense lawyers, as well as the lawyers of the injured parties and the prosecutors.

At the beginning of the continuation of the proceedings and before Hrvatin's presentation, the defense lawyers objected to the presiding judge of the court panel that photos that are part of the case file have appeared in the media in recent days, which, they say, undermines the credibility of the proceedings. They demanded that the chairwoman deal with it, in order to determine who from the courthouse cooperates with journalists.

The continuation of the proceedings is scheduled for Tuesday.

Belivuk and his clan are charged with seven murders, drug trafficking, illegal possession and carrying of weapons, kidnapping and rape. In June, the court confirmed a new indictment, charging them with the murder of Nikola Mitić in August 2020 and Goran Mihajlović in April 2019. As part of the first indictment, they are charged with the murders of Milan Ljepoja, Aleksander Gligorijević Puki, Goran Veličković Goksi, Zdravko Radojević and Lazar Vukićević.

Belivuk and members of his criminal group were arrested on February 4, 2021, and the preliminary hearing began on June 13 last year, for the fourth time.
