The president of the non-trial panel, judge Vesna Kovačević, scheduled the review of the indictment brought by the Special State Prosecutor's Office against the Nikšić resident for March 20 in the High Court in Podgorica. Petar Mujović (23) because he is a member of a criminal organization Radoja Zvicer accepted to kill Jovan Vukotić.
Marija Raković, independent advisor of the High Court for public relations, confirmed to "Vijesta" that the hearing is scheduled for March 20. She added that Mujović was charged with the criminal offense of creating a criminal organization, that is, being a member in conjunction with two criminal offenses of illegal possession of weapons and explosive materials.
The indictment is based on sky communications in which it is stated that Mujović was ordered by Zvicer and Slobodan Kašćelan was supposed to kill Vukotić on July 31, 2020 in Bar, at the funeral of his godfather and leader of the Bar group Alan Kožara, who was killed seven days earlier in Corfu.
The indictment states that Vukotić did not go to the cemetery and attend the funeral, but stayed at the house of the Kožar family, where he expressed his condolences. According to the new plan, the defendant Mujović was supposed to shoot Vukotić when voting in the parliamentary elections on August 30, 2020, but the plan failed because Vukotić did not come to vote. The third plan to kill Vukotić also failed. In October 2020, the defendant was supposed to fire fatal shots at Vukotić in front of the Kotor police building, but he failed because he was arrested.
In the prosecutor's investigation, the defendant Mujović defended himself by remaining silent.
Jovan Vukotić was killed on September 8, 2022 in Turkey.
