Today, a hearing was held in the High Court in Podgorica where the legality and justification of the indictment against Petar Mujović was discussed. He was accused of murdering Jovan Vukotić, according to Sky Communications, on the orders of Zvicer and Slobodan Kašćelan.
His defense lawyer Dragan Mitrić said that the court panel is familiar with all the indictments based on SKY communication.
He emphasized that this communication is in Excel tables and that it is easy to change.
"I believe that neither the special state prosecutor's office, nor the court, have received anything that would be evidence. In my opinion, the higher court has not made a legal decision in any of these proceedings", according to the defense lawyer Mitrić.
He added that when evaluating the indictment, the court panel will not deal with the allegations of the defense, but will be guided by the saying "the end justifies the means".
Accused Petar Mujović stated that he agreed with everything his lawyer said. He proposed to the court that his detention be terminated, with monitoring measures determined by the court.
Special prosecutor Zoran Vučinić said that evidence was collected on the basis of which this indictment can be confirmed.
Mujović was indicted by the SDT after Sky Communications revealed that, on the orders of Zvicer and Slobodan Kašćelan, he was supposed to kill Vukotić on July 31, 2020 in Bar, at the funeral of his godfather and leader of the Bar group, Alan Kožar.

Vukotić was released from custody three days before Kožar's funeral, as he was acquitted of the charges of attempted murder of Miloš Radonjić and Vojin Stupar due to a lack of evidence.
This alleged plan failed because Vukotić did not come to the funeral but, as stated in the indictment, stayed at the house of the Kožar family. The second plan according to which Mujović was supposed to kill Vukotić was during the voting in the parliamentary elections on August 30, 2020, but Vukotić did not come to vote.
According to the indictment, Mujović was part of the third plan to kill Vukotić, which failed. Allegedly, in October 2020, in front of the Kotor police building, according to the investigation, he was supposed to shoot the leader of the "Skaljarac".
In the prosecutor's investigation, the defendant Mujović defended himself by remaining silent.
Jovan Vukotić was killed on September 8, 2022 in Turkey.
