The Ulcinj border police seized about 97 kilograms of skunk, after which the Ulcinj Security Department arrested one person.
"The border police stopped a Škoda vehicle with Albanian license plates in the town of Darza, which was driven by KP (29) from Albania. After the stop, he suddenly put the vehicle in motion, during which he grazed a member of the border police in the leg area with the vehicle ", stated in the statement of the Police Administration.
It is added that after that there was a chase for this vehicle, which was found left and unlocked in the town of Kruče.
"The police stopped a "passat" vehicle with Albanian license plates in the town of Klezna, which was driven by AH (30) from Albania, and who is linked to the KP and the execution of the criminal act in question," the statement said.
It is added that an official border police dog searched the area and found discarded drugs, which will be the subject of an expert examination at the Forensic Center.
It is pointed out that 163 packages were found with dark green vegetable matter, which is suspected to be skunk, with a total weight of about 96,8 kilograms.
"According to the order of the state prosecutor in the Higher State Prosecutor's Office in Podgorica, AH was deprived of his liberty on suspicion of having committed the crime of unauthorized production, possession and placing on the market of narcotic drugs, while KP is being intensively searched for," the statement concludes.
