Acting Director of the Police Administration Nikola Terzic and the head of the Special Police Department and coordinator of police services to fight crime Predrag Šuković at yesterday's collegium of the top of the Police Administration, all chiefs within the Criminal Police Sector were dismissed and new ones were temporarily appointed, "Vijesti" in UP learns.
In the first round of changes at the top of the UP, as expected, a reshuffle was made in the leadership position of the Department for the fight against drugs, so instead Biljane Knežević appointed to that position Aleksandra Saška Mihajlović.
With the decision of Šuković and Terzić, who spent days dealing with the plan to reorganize management positions within the UP, the head of Interpol was dismissed Dejan Boljević and temporarily installed in his place Gordana Milutinović, which has a solution in the Special Police Department.
At the UP collegium, the head of the Department for Suppression of General Crime was dismissed Aleksandar Boskovic, who for the time being was replaced by an employee of the SPO Danilo Scepanovic.

An officer of that department and a former senior operative of the National Security Agency Dusko Golubovic, by the decision of the UP top, it was declared as technological redundancy, because formally the Department for Suppression of Serious Crimes no longer exists.
After less than four years of work, the Support Team, which he commanded, was also disbanded Boban Brnović, which was formally inserted into the UP system at the time the assistant director was Zoran Lazovic.

The cutting of managerial staff within the Police Administration will continue in the coming days, and the plan is to rotate as many as 50 of the most important positions in the police by the end of the month, according to the interlocutors of Vijesti.
The plan is that after the changes within the criminal police, the management staff will be rotated in all lines of work in all police stations in the country.
The personnel changes followed a major operation launched against former and current UP employees, who, based on EUROPOL and the Special State Prosecutor's Office, are believed to have worked for the mafia.
Minister of Interior Affairs Fiip Adzic he disclosed that UP is an institution with a certain influence of criminal structures at all levels and announced personnel changes.
All the heads of SBPOK who were dismissed yesterday were appointed while he was the director of the Police Directorate Veselin Veljović, and the management staff was not rotated during the time when the immediate boss was Knežević, and the director of the Police Administration Zoran Brđanin, who was recently dismissed by the Government.
Brđanin announced a lawsuit to the Administrative Court after, as he stated, an illegal decision by the Government.
Equipment transferred to SPO
After the Special Police Department, on the order of the SDT, sealed the premises of the Crime Fighting Sector located in the business center of the City mall, valuable police equipment and cars belonging to the officers of that Sector were confiscated.
According to "Vijesti" information, all the equipment and official cars used by the disbanded departments were temporarily handed over to the SPO, whose premises are in the dilapidated "Limenka" building, and whose officers have been dealing with a bad fleet for years.
The head of the SPO, by order of the minister, was designated as the main contact with EUROPOL, and police coordination was entrusted to him after the Special State Prosecutor's Office and the SPO launched a major operation to arrest officers of the Police Directorate who they believe worked for the mafia.
