Bar Municipality President Dušan Raičević apologized on behalf of the Municipality and citizens to the minors from Sarajevo who were injured in the incident in the Šušanj settlement.
"On behalf of the Municipality of Bar, all the citizens of Bar, and in my own name, I publicly apologize to the young men from Sarajevo who were injured last night in the incident in our city, their families, as well as the AK "Sarajevo" of which these young athletes are members. I use the opportunity to strongly condemn this incident and hooligan behavior of irresponsible individuals, whose uncivilized and uncivilized behavior is not a true image of Bar, but rather their distorted attitude towards reality," Raičević said.
He pointed out that Bar is a city where all differences have been living together for centuries.
"And our society, accepting each other, is firmly founded on the spirit of cosmopolitanism. Bar has particularly close ties with Sarajevo, the city with which we have also established fraternal ties, and I am convinced that our friendship will be stronger than such isolated incidents and the irresponsible behavior of individuals I would like to remind you that AK "Sarajevo" has been coming to Bar for preparations for more than 20 years, and that this is the first incident that happened, and I am convinced it will be the last. I also call on the competent institutions to urgently prosecute those responsible for this unfortunate event and fairly sanction them. because of attacks on minors, and to preserve our city's reputation as a peaceful place open to everyone, as Bar has always been," said Raičević.
A group of young men in Bar physically attacked two athletes of the Sarajevo Athletic Club who came to Montenegro for training. The prosecutor ordered the police to file a report in the regular procedure against two fifteen-year-olds and two seventeen-year-olds for attacking minors from Sarajevo.
