Bosniak Party Bar: We suspect that it is an ethnic and religious attack, authorities to investigate the motives

The Bosniak Party of Bar announced that it strongly condemns the attack on two athletes of the Sarajevo Athletic Club in the Šušanj neighborhood of Bar, saying that they suspect that it is an ethnically and religiously motivated attack and call on the Police Directorate and the Prosecutor's Office to investigate all aspects of the attack and the motives.

"We were taken aback by the barbaric attack in which a group of thugs - returnees in the Bar settlement Šušanj brutally beat two minor athletes from Bosnia and Herzegovina who were preparing in Bar," the statement of the Municipal Committee of the Bosniak Party from Bar states.

The Bosniak party from Bar called on the court to "contribute to the creation of a more favorable security environment, which is necessary for every country, especially a country where tourism is one of the main economic activities, so that hooligans - returnees attack tourists and guests".

They point out that they apologize to their friends from Bosnia and Herzegovina and invite them to continue their stay in Bar and Montenegro.

"Believing that the attackers, regardless of the impression that might be gained, belong to that smaller but louder part of Montenegro trapped in ideologies, hatreds and divisions from the past," the announcement concludes.
