The Vice President of the Assembly Branka Bošnjak announced that peer violence is becoming a serious form of sociological, ethical, anthropological and other degradation and deviation of our community, family and individual.
"Peer violence in Montenegrin schools, and in general places where young people gather, is almost reaching the proportions of an epidemic. But it is not a question of multiple coronavirus epidemics, which could be solved relatively quickly - by vaccination, but a phenomenon whose continuity and increasing progression threaten to destroy and degrade one society and the foundations that our ancestors painstakingly built over the centuries, often great warriors, heroes, people of enormous moral strength. Marko Miljanov's former ethical principle 'Take care of others from yourself', but also the folk proverb 'Heroes are known through hardship', as a feature and the ideal of masculinity, strength and greatness, as if it begins to give way to a cowardly, sadistic and extremely animalistic form of behavior, which does not hesitate to humiliate the weaker and different, causing him psychological or physical trauma, and believing, illusory, at that moment, that he possesses strength and power. We could call such a hero an anti-hero," Bošnjak stated.
In recent months, several cases of peer violence have occurred in Montenegro.
In Podgorica, a group of thugs - Lazar Radulović, Petar Božović, Obren Kovačević, Aleksa Gregović, and Matija Vlahović were detained for the brutal beating of DR and MP.
Also, minor IR, SK, PM and several NN persons will be responsible for violent behavior committed to the detriment of minor MM, SS and KI students of the Podgorica Gymnasium. Darko Saveljić, the father of one of the high school students from Podgorica, wrote that in the fight against violence against his son and his friends, he will not be swayed by the facts of whose children are bullies. Saveljić stated that "the father of one of the bullies is one of the chief state inspectors, and that the mother of one of the actors in the story is a 'reputable lawyer'".
A group of young men in Bar last night physically attacked two athletes of the Sarajevo Athletic Club who came to Montenegro for training. Four minors from Bar will be held criminally responsible for the attack on them. Minors from Sarajevo were assisted in the Emergency Medical Service and the General Hospital in Bar. One of the minors was diagnosed with a serious injury in the form of a broken nose and jaw bone, which is why he was transported to the Clinical Center of Montenegro for further hospitalization.
"Therefore, this phenomenon becomes a serious form of sociological, ethical, anthropological and other degradation and deviation of our community, family and individual, as well as a disruption of the social environment, and it would be necessary to take all necessary measures to tackle this social anomaly through greater involvement of competent institutions, media, campaigns, educational measures and stricter sanctioning of criminal behavior," concluded Bošnjak.
