Lalošević condemned the attack on the athletes: The athletic holiday was violated by attackers, we expect a reaction from the authorities

The Minister of Sports and Youth, Vasilije Lalošević, announced that the athletic holiday in Bar, which was attended by dozens of athletes from the region, was disrupted by assailants who tried to distort the image of the real hosts by attacking the young athletes.

He said this on the occasion of the attack on two athletes of the Sarajevo Athletic Club in the Bar settlement of Šušanj.

"It is neither Bar, nor Montenegro. We expect the reaction of the competent institutions," the statement of the Ministry of Sports and Youth states.

"With the wish that the young Sarajevo citizens recover quickly, we expect them at the big May Day athletics meeting in Bar, where they have successfully participated in previous years," concluded Lalošević.

A group of young men in Bar physically attacked two athletes of the Sarajevo Athletic Club who came to Montenegro for training.

Four minors from Bar will be held criminally responsible for the attack on them.

Minors from Sarajevo were assisted in the Emergency Medical Service and the General Hospital in Bar.

One of the minors was diagnosed with a serious injury in the form of a broken nose and jaw bone, which is why he was transported to the Clinical Center of Montenegro for further hospitalization.
