On the occasion of the attack on two athletes of the Sarajevo Athletic Club in the Bar settlement of Šušanj, the Liberal Party announced that Montenegro is recognized as a country open to all, a place of hospitality and acceptance of all differences, and that it is devastating that such an image is sent to the region.
"We strongly condemn the incident in Bar in which minor young men from Sarajevo were beaten by a group of vandals. We welcome the activities of the authorities who initiated investigative procedures and call for the delinquents to be immediately sanctioned," the Liberal Party said in a statement.
They add that it is particularly unacceptable that the victims of such vandalism are young athletes who have been preparing for years on the Montenegrin coast.

The Liberal Party points out that they are convinced that this incident is only an isolated case and that the reactions of the authorities will confirm this and satisfy justice for the young men and their families.
"Everyone is welcome in Montenegro, Bar and any other place in our country," the announcement concludes.

Four minors from Bar will be held criminally responsible for the attack on them.
Minors from Sarajevo were assisted in the Emergency Medical Service and the General Hospital in Bar.
One of the minors was diagnosed with a serious injury in the form of a broken nose and jaw bone, which is why he was transported to the Clinical Center of Montenegro for further hospitalization.
