I will be detained for up to 72 hours, suspected of inciting national, racial and religious hatred

Miloš Ostojić (35), president of the Audit Board of "Luke Bar", was detained for up to 72 hours.

He was arrested on suspicion of committing the crime of inciting national, racial and religious hatred.

The Police Administration announced that the Podgorica police last night, on the order of the state prosecutor in the Higher State Prosecutor's Office in Podgorica, arrested "MO (35) on suspicion of having committed the criminal offense of inciting national, racial and religious hatred".

"Yesterday, the Podgorica police, acting on the knowledge that a person of the MoD posted two posts on a social network, which contained insults on a religious basis, took measures and actions within their jurisdiction and collected notifications from the MoD on the circumstances of the said posts. The state was informed the prosecutor in the Higher State Prosecutor's Office in Podgorica who ordered that MO be deprived of his liberty on suspicion of having committed the criminal offense of inciting national, racial and religious hatred," the statement reads.

Ostojić insulted Bosniaks on Facebook, called Islam a false religion, and "Luka Bar" announced his dismissal.

His action was condemned by several political parties and non-governmental organizations.
