Personnel changes within the Police Administration continued with a series of temporary appointments in the Border Police Sector, where new chiefs within the Border Police were appointed in the four most important departments.
Acting Director of the Police Administration Nikola Terzic and acting assistant director for the Border Police Sector Milutin Vasiljević they brought acting decisions for key management positions in the border police, so that these positions would not be vacant until the internal advertisements for at least 70 management positions within the UP were completed.
According to Article 131 and 132 of the Law on Internal Affairs, the director of the UP has the right to temporarily assign managers/officials who meet the requirements for positions while the internal advertisement for filling managerial positions within the police lasts.
The new head of the Border Control Department will be Velibor Vučinić, who applied to the internal advertisement of the Police Administration to fill that very position in the Border Police Sector, and who were dismissed by the decision of the director of the UP Zoran Brđanin announced at the end of January and beginning of February this year.
He was appointed acting head of the Department for Operational Work and Risk Analysis of the Border Police Sector Saša Babić, while a temporary solution has been set up in the Department for Foreigners and Suppression of Illegal Migration Dejan Bojic.
Lukolić replaces Jokić
With the decision of Terzić and Vasiljević, personnel rotation was made in the Regional Center "South" where, on the proposal of the assistant director, he was appointed to a permanent position Jozo Lukolić.
The long-time commander and head of the Border Security Department Bar in the Border Police Sector replaced the previous head of the Regional Center "South" Siniša Jokić.
Regional Border Police Centers are organizational units within the Border Police Sector, so due to the lexical terminology, Article 131 of the Law on Internal Affairs does not apply to them, which provides for the appointment of management positions through a system of internal advertisements, but for centers and security departments, commanders of UP units.. .
It is expected that the handover of duties between Jokić and the new boss Lukolić will be organized today in Bar.
There will be more changes
More changes are expected within the Police Directorate, but only after the Acting Director of the Police Department receives a detailed analysis of reports on the situation within the police apparatus from all Police Departments.
Personnel changes within the UP began on April 12, when Terzić and the coordinator of police services for the fight against crime and the head of the Special Police Department Predrag Šuković dismissed all the chiefs within the Criminal Police Sector and temporarily appointed new ones.

With the decision of Terzić and Šuković, the Department for Suppression of Serious Criminal Offenses was disbanded and all officers were temporarily sent home or assigned to other workplaces.
