The lifeless body of diver AS (28) was pulled out of the water around 17:1 p.m. on the rescue boat SAR-XNUMX, Assistant Director of the Maritime Safety and Port Management Authority (UPSUL) Žarko Lukšić confirmed to "Vijesta".
According to him, injuries are visible on the body, and the investigation will determine what caused them. Police and prosecutors are on the scene.
Lukšić said that they informed the Harbor Master's Office and the Maritime Navigation Safety Inspection about the incident - due to investigative actions at sea.
UPSUL uses the maritime traffic monitoring and control system to determine the movement of vessels in the area where the diver died.
Members of UPSUL, the Border Police Sector, divers, citizens... searched for AS, whose disappearance was reported today at 13.40:XNUMX p.m.
Lukšić previously told "Vijetsi" that they were informed that a diver had disappeared near Port Milena, at the beginning of Velika plaža in Ulcinj.
"The snorkeler was fishing, and his friends reported him missing... The vehicle he was using was parked near the beach. The Maritime Operations Center began a coordinated search and rescue operation. The SAR-1 rescue boat was immediately dispatched to the Great Beach "Also, rescuers were sent to search the land area. Citizens and divers from the Maritime Safety and Port Management Administration, as well as members of the Border Police Sector who used a drone, were involved in the search," Lukšić said at the time.
