Searches in Podgorica and Kolašin: rifles, revolver, hand grenade and ammunition seized, one person arrested

Podgorica and Kolašin police searched several locations and found weapons and ammunition with six people, the Police Administration announced.

The announcement states that the Podgorica police found a Zastava M88 magnum 357 revolver without a license plate during a search of an apartment used by IK on Sava Kovačevića Boulevard.

"During a search of the apartment and other premises used by VK (39), a hunting rifle was found, without a weapon certificate, while at VK (44), a frame from an automatic rifle M70 with 17 pieces of ammunition was found during the search," the UP press release points out.

They added that during the search of the house used by MK in Kolašin, 60 pieces of 7,9 mm caliber rifle ammunition were found in his possession.

"In the town of Sjenokosi in Zeta, a house used by MK (41) was searched, and a hunting rifle was found on that occasion," the announcement reads.

The UP stated that in relation to the aforementioned, the qualifications of possible criminal offenses will be carried out in the following period by the competent prosecutors.

"In addition, the apartment and other premises used by MM in Podgorica were searched. A hand grenade was found, and MM was deprived of his liberty by order of the competent prosecutor on suspicion of having committed the criminal offense of illegal possession of weapons and explosive materials," said the UP.

The UP also said that the Kolašin police searched houses and auxiliary facilities in the town of Bare, which are used by the LR from Kolašin.

"A 7,62 mm Dobošar automatic rifle was found in illegal possession. A criminal complaint was filed against LR on suspicion of having committed the criminal offense of illegal possession of weapons and explosive materials," the statement concludes.
