The police chiefs Darko Knežević and Dalibor Živković, who were arrested yesterday, were released after being heard by the investigating judge, the spokeswoman of the High Court in Podgorica, Marija Raković, told "Vijesta".
Raković explained that the judge accepted the proposal of the defense counsel of the suspects to impose a ban on meeting certain persons.
"The special prosecutor also agreed with that proposal because they proposed custody only on the basis of influence on the witnesses," she said.
Knežević and Živković were arrested yesterday, at their workplace, by order of the Special State Prosecutor's Office (SDT), and they are suspected of having allegedly committed a criminal offense - "abuse of official position" and of working outside the rules of the police service
