With the defense of the defendants, the trial of Radovan Mujović from Nikšić and the other defendants began today before the special panel chaired by Judge Igor Đuričković in the High Court in Podgorica.

"The special prosecution accuses me of having planned the liquidations on September 26, 2019. That is impossible. I was not in pre-trial detention during that period, on that very day. Just as the statements of the associate witness that I told him through the prison window that something would happen are not true. happen, it's impossible because I wasn't even in prison that day. I was arrested on the 24th and placed in the Nikšić prison, then on the 25th, they took me to the premises of the Podgorica prison, and on the 27th I was ordered to be detained by the prosecutor," he pointed out. is Mujović.
He added that these allegations of his defense are very easy to verify in the official notes of the police, prosecution and UIKS.
He then proceeded to present his defence.
"The prosecutor offered my brother and several others in this case, through a prison official, the status of a cooperating witness in order to accuse me. Then I went to the head of security in the prison for an interview. It was about OV who was the head of the security service at the time UIKS. If I lie to you, I will sign the maximum sentence. They say, like my brother, to get ready to go to the lawyer if he came to visit, and take him to Ostojić's office. They do that, in my opinion, in consultation with the prosecution Some of the defendants in this case can also confirm that they were offered this," said defendant Mujović.

Lipovina: The cooperating witness invented everything
The defendant Petar Lipovina denied the allegations of the indictment.
"I believe that this indictment is fabricated. I did not receive any money to set someone's vehicle on fire, nor do I have a motive for such a thing. It is said that I sent a note through the goods from the prison inciting someone. That is untrue. I would like to see it. It is well known that everything that enters and leaves the prison is inspected and scanned. That would be tantamount to suicide. This is all a lie made up by the witness Marinko Rajković," said Lipovina's defense. - Lipovina said, among other things, and continued.
"The indictment says that I have been a member of a criminal organization since 2017, and I met some of these people only in remand prison, and I don't even know some of them. I had no motive to set anyone's car on fire, but the witness Rajković did because he and set fire to his wife's vehicle in 2019. The media wrote about it. I believe that the crime for which the SDT accuses me may have been committed by him, so the prosecution led me to absolve myself and get the status of an accomplice witness," the accused Lipovina claims. The defendant Lazar Nedović also had remarks about the associate witness and denied that he had committed the crime.
"I was accused based on the words of an associate witness who said that he did not know me, that he did not know what I looked like and that he did not know my activities. I am surprised that I am here," said the accused Nedović.
