The official and deputy of the Democratic Party of Socialists (DPS) Predrag Bošković completely denied the commission of a criminal offense during the hearing at the Special State Prosecutor's Office (SDT).
This was said by his defense attorney, lawyer Zoran Piperović, after the hearing of Bošković.
Piperović said that Bošković explained what the procedure was, what the Commission did, and what the Government did.
Bošković was questioned today in the SDT because he is a suspect in the "Stanovi" affair.
Today, special prosecutor Vukas Radonjić will also hear the suspected MP from DPS and former Minister of Economy Dragica Sekulić and her and Bošković's party colleague, former minister of several departments, Suad Numanović.
SDT suspects that Bošković, as the president of the Government Commission, and the others as members, made decisions about solving the housing needs of officials contrary to the regulations and thus obtained material benefits for others that exceed 30.000 euros.
It is suspected that they have committed the criminal offense of abuse of official position.
Bošković said after the hearing that it was not an illegal act, but above all the political pressure that is being exerted on him and his colleagues and the political group to which they belong.
"I'll just remind you that the first criminal complaint regarding this was initiated before the 2020 elections. After the elections, the Special State Prosecutor's Office rejected the criminal complaint as unfounded, and nothing happened about it for two years. In anticipation of the local elections in 2022, the outgoing Prime Minister took that case out of mothballs for the sake of his political points and started the story again, supported by certain media in order to achieve, as I said, political benefits for himself and his party," said Bošković.
He said that the Prime Minister of Montenegro, Dritan Abazović, "started this story at a time when a web was woven around him and his criminal activities related to tobacco smuggling."
"In order to divert the topic and enter the elections with another topic, which can bring him a certain political benefit," said Bošković.
