Željko Bojanić from Kotor announced before the court in Istanbul that he had nothing to do with the murder of Rist Mijanović from Cetinje.
According to the Turkish "Cumhuriyet", he added that he is not a member of the mafia and that he does not accept the accusations.
"This indictment was prepared by the Serbian media. If it were true, there would be evidence. It could have been done politically," he said.
In the largest city of Turkey, a trial was held for the murder of Rist Mijanović, a member of the Skaljar criminal organization, who was killed after being tortured in a villa in 2020.
The media previously wrote that the Prosecutor's Office established that Mijanović was kidnapped on September 11, 2020, from a restaurant in Istanbul, and after he was killed, he was transported and buried behind Bojanić's villa in Zekerijakoj.
"The house mentioned is not mine," Bojanic added before the court. "I came to Turkey to live, I am a citizen of Montenegro".
"Cumhuriyet" states that at today's hearing in the High Criminal Court in Istanbul, along with Bojanić, the detained Hakan Kaptan, the accused Milan Vujotić and the lawyers of the parties appeared.
"The accused Radoje Živković, who was arrested for another criminal act, was interrogated through the audio-visual information system," the mentioned media said.
