In the cells of the detained members of the Kotor clans, prison police officers found and confiscated mobile phones, and they also prevented an attempt to deliver a mobile phone to high-ranking members of one of those criminal groups by drone and transfer it over the fence.
This was announced to "Vijesti" by the Administration for the Execution of Criminal Sanctions, adding that the searches in the Investigation Prison are daily, that they found and seized dozens of mobile phones and other illegal items.
"Last weekend, the rooms in which, among others, detainees who are labeled as members of organized criminal groups are staying, were searched. One mobile phone was found in the room where the members of the OKG 'skaljari' were, and two were found in the cell where the members of the OKG 'kavač' were. "Also, an attempt to transfer the phone over the fence was prevented, that is, the officers found it before the detainees who were supposed to take it went for a walk," said the "Vijesti" interlocutor.
He also explains that, in the previous period, officers of the Investigation Prison, deployed in the guard towers, recorded and prevented an attempt to "deliver" a phone by drone.
"Officials in charge of external security noticed that the drone was approaching the protected area several times, and they reacted when the person who was piloting it tried to deliver a mobile phone and charger to the window of the room where the head of a criminal group is staying," he said. interlocutor of "Vijesti" from UIKS.
The same interlocutor adds that in the past months, general searches were carried out in all organizational units of the Spuška and Bjelopolje prisons, but that even after that they find phones, daggers, illegal tablets...
"We are finding phones to a lesser extent, because we managed to close several very important channels, one of which were the houses in the Semi-Open Department (POO)".
"Vijesti" recently announced that prison guards dug up twenty bottles of alcoholic beverages and several mobile phones in the POO compound. Bottles of whiskey and vines were buried in the ground, in the area where the boiler room is.
Allegedly, alcohol, phones and other illegal substances were "scattered" throughout the prison from there.
The management of the Directorate for the Execution of Criminal Sanctions (UIKS) informed the Police Directorate about the outcome of the search, which, as it was said, is taking measures and actions to shed light on the incident.
The police were also informed about the phone finds in the Investigation Prison, as well as the attempt to deliver the device by drone.
Illegal items are guarded by "petty" criminals
The interlocutor from the Administration for the Execution of Criminal Sanctions said that the management of that institution transferred two detainees, who, according to operational information, "smashed" mobile phones.
"Through operational work, we discovered that high-ranking members of organized criminal groups, who are in custody, keep the phones of those detained for less dangerous crimes, and then transfer them from room to room using so-called elevators, usually during the night. Most of those phones have been confiscated, but we are continuing with searches in order to reduce the number of communication devices to a minimum," explained the source of the newspaper.
