The indictment proposal for the dismissal of Medenica was previously submitted by the deputy disciplinary prosecutor Tanja Nišavić.

The Prosecutor's Council, as announced, established that the filing of the indictment does not contain a description of the act from which the legal characteristics of the reason for dismissal arise, such as, among other things, a description of the action and the method of execution of the action that Medenica is charged with, if the attribute is not specified that is, the function that the appointed person performs, "all of which represent essential elements of the reason for dismissal".

"Also, in the factual description of the submitted indictment, it was stated that the appointed prosecutor allegedly acted contrary to the Law on the State Prosecutor's Office, but no specific norm that could possibly be violated was specified. Bearing in mind the above, the Prosecutor's Council by majority vote, in accordance with Article 453 paragraph 1 in connection with article 294 paragraph 1 point 1 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, made a decision to reject the indictment in question," the Prosecutor's Council announced.

Acting Supreme State Prosecutor Tatjana Begović in the introductory part of today's session proposed to vote on excluding the public.

Council member Stevo Muk responded and asked for clarification according to which provisions of the Law on the State Prosecutor's Office and the Rules of Procedure of that body exclude the public.

After clarification, he briefly said: "Okay, I will be against the exclusion of the public".

During the vote, 10 Council members were in favor of excluding the public, and only Muk was against such a decision.

The proposal for Medenica's dismissal was sent to the Prosecutor's Council by the Minister of Justice Marko Kovač, due to the suspicion that she exerted inappropriate influence on her then colleague from the Basic State Prosecutor's Office in Podgorica - Vukas Radonjić, in the case of the investigation into the opening of the border for Belgrade criminals Veljko Belivuk and Marko Miljković.

Deputy disciplinary prosecutor Tanja Nišavić stated in the indictment that Medenica called Radonjić after midnight and, contrary to the law, "in a rude and inappropriate manner", asked to release the arrested policemen Saša Đurović and Aleksandar Bošković.

Those police officers were previously arrested on suspicion of having lifted the ban that until then prevented Belivuk and Miljković from entering the country legally, as persons of security interest.
