Investigation into the murder of Roganović: Three people arrested, criminal charges against two others

The police have filed a criminal complaint against Marko Radović (29) and four other people, accusing them of creating a criminal organization.

The Police Directorate said that the officers of the Special Police Department together with their colleagues from the Department for Suppression of General Crime, acting on the order of the Special State Prosecutor's Office, conducted searches at six locations in the Podgorica and Herceg Novi areas this morning, and filed criminal charges against five people on suspicion of have committed the criminal offense of creating a criminal organization.

According to "Vijesti" information, SR (42), MG (35) and Marko Radović (29) were arrested as part of the extended investigation conducted in connection with the murder of Šćepan Roganović.

They filed a criminal complaint against IV (47), who is on the run, and IM (37), who is in prison for another criminal offense.

The police suspect that they, together with the previous suspects, created a criminal organization whose goal was the liquidation of Roganović.

Roganović was killed on February 13, 2020 in Herceg Novi.

Radović is an alleged member of the organized criminal group "Skaljari". "Vijesti" has learned that police officers, on the order of special prosecutor Zorica Milanović, conducted searches at two locations in Herceg Novi. After the raid, on her order, Radović was taken into custody.

Đukanović confirmed that Radović's apartment in Herceg Novi was searched

Lawyer Željko Đukanović confirmed to Vijesti that members of the SPO searched the apartment of his client Marko Radović and his mother in Herceg Novi this morning.

"No illegal or compromising item was found that would possibly link him to the commission of any criminal offense. Since it is unofficially mentioned that the reason for his arrest is the murder of Šćepan Roganović, I believe that Marko Radović cannot have any connection with the commission of that crime of a criminal offense, because at the time of the execution of that murder he was in the Institution for the Execution of Criminal Sanctions for another criminal offense," he said.

He also said that after the criminal complaint is presented to them, he will make a statement on the possible responsibility of Radović.
