The High Court in Podgorica will consolidate the proceedings against Miloš and Vesna Medenica, accused of creating a criminal organization, smuggling and abuse, and the proceedings against Vojin Perunović and Jovan Miković, accused of creating a criminal organization and smuggling.
This was confirmed to "Vijesta" by the public relations advisor of the High Court in Podgorica, Marija Raković.
The decision on the merger of these two proceedings was made by the panel headed by judge Zoran Radović, on the proposal of the Special State Prosecutor's Office (STP).
In the explanation of the court decision, it is stated that Perunović and Miković were accused in 2020, and the new decision stipulates that "a single procedure must be carried out" and a single decision must be made.
It was also stated that on April 28, the SDT submitted to the High Court a proposal to combine the aforementioned proceedings. The Council of the High Court found on June 20 that such a proposal by the prosecution was founded.
The continuation of Medenica's trial is scheduled for tomorrow.
